I took a week off after the May 24, and managed to paint the hallway and living room! No more horrible patches (seriously, the previous owners....... ugh), no more hideous brown. I learned to paint, learned to be mindful, and developed a fear of carpal tunnel syndrome. (and oh joy! I'm planning to do it all again in August, and get rid of the olive green thing going on in the bedroom.)
Here are some really terrible before and after pics:

In other, more exciting news, I'm printing thank you cards for a friend's wedding. I've started the layout and stuff, and I'm pretty excited. I got my paper at Mixed Media, and yay, as always. The paper is so gorgeous, I can't wait to bust out the ink. Wood type, NEW TYPE (!!!), ornaments, black and gold ink=swoon.
Other stuff? I signed up for a moccasin making class at Needlework. Completely weird and random, I know. But I think I'll really enjoy it.
And..... I went to the wee tiny Fleece and Fibre Fest at Silmaril Farm, and I got the most EPIC yarn! 7.25oz, 36 yards, complete insanity! Totally gorgeous, and something I could never make myself.
So lovely, and my picture doesn't do it justice at all. But seriously, all I need is an epic button, and I will have everything I need for the most amazingly over the top cowl! (from Oscar & Sophia - I'll be watching her etsy shop, for sure!)
So, uh... Ta for now?
