I've been negligent

In posting to my blog, it seems. Work has been busy - full-time hours for a lowly part-time worker! (I've recently applied for temporary full-time in my department. if I get it, I will likely cease to exist)
When I haven't been working, I've been spinning. Finally finished the yarn with a name, the batt came from HollyEqq's batt club. Behold, this is "Squishee Bender"! About 60 yards from a 4.8oz batt. All full of coils and locks and accidents too:

Squishee Bender

And a closeup of "Squishee Bender":

And, my very proud achievement! Sock-ish yarn! Used Pigeon Roof Studios superwash merino roving, I think it's the Autumn colourway. So 2oz of roving produced 150 yards of yarn! It took forever, but I am proud.

Pigeon Roof Studios roving spun into sock-ish yarn. 2oz, 150 yards

And a closeup:

Here's how the roving looked when I got it. I still have one more braid of roving, I think it's the artichoke colourway, and it's much more my style.

And all floofed up (this is my computer background now. behold the power of the $20 ebay camera!):
