Friday, I'm in LOVE!

So, enfin, here is my sweater!
This is Joelle's Favorite Yoke Sweater from KnitKnit. I'm so pleased with how it turned out! My very first sweater! I knit it using Zen Yarn Garden's Bling yarn, which is a fingering weight merino, silk, silver blend. The pattern was nice and simple and very straight-forward, so the yarn is what really makes it special. I knit the medium (39.5" bust), and eeeek, I just love it.

So... Here it is!
The SWEATER!
The yarn is a nice, true semi-solid navy blue, but we were having lighting issues.

This is much more true, and the sparkly bits show up better too!
Sparkly sweater
I started this the day I got my wisdom teeth pulled (Dec 27), and finished it on March 11.

After a week or two of frenzied knitting, I am ready for a break! I think I will spin up some of the fibre that is rapidly overtaking my room...

Bling, indeed! That looks fantastic! I bet you could wear it to work with a jacket or exactly as you have it with jeans.

Re: last post. Man, I haven't heard the ongoing history of new music since I moved out east - I'll have to check it out. thanks for the heads up!

Awesome girl! You did it! My first sweater still only has one arm done - for like a year and a half.

Oh, wow. The sweater came out fantastic. It fits, the sparkle is phenomenal (I immediately looked for the bit where you say what yarn you used...), a piece that can go from day to evening just by switching out jeans for a nice black skirt... excellent work!
