Oh la la.

Possibly the last knitting post forever.
Something I finished:
bainbridge scarf
Something that I will never finish (and will soon become a pile of yarn):
Dollar and a half cardigan

So the first is a Bainbridge Scarf, pattern found here. I like it. It will be warm. I used my Rowan Tapestry, and have a strange amount left. It will try to become a Panta, but may fail. We'll see. The second is the Dollar and a half cardigan from IK. I love it, but it's not working. Maybe something like knitting a smaller size on larger needles, but the lace is very stiff and it's all just odd.

Something I forgot to mention about the sewing book: there are a few totally dumb projects. Where you attach (floral) fabric to interfacing, cut it out and call it a pin. Somehow, I don't consider that sewing. And Valerie, the projects are simple. Nothing too frilly or foofy. But also, not so fulfilling. I'm thinking I may have preferred Amy Butler's In Stitches, but maybe not. Who knows, without taking a look? There is also Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing which could be interesting. The main advantage to Simple Sewing with a French Twist is the huge number of projects (the other two books have 24-25, but are at the same price point) I do think I would like to get Celine Dupuy's Make Your Own Handbags though. (for someone who wears nothing but black tshirts and hoodies, I sure love my purses. it amuses me.)
